Annette received her first teddy bear (his name was Brownie), when she was four years old. The love affair began then. In 1992 she started the Annette Funicello Bear Company, to share with people worldwide the comfort and love a Teddy Bear brings. Annette collaborates with some of the world's most talented teddy bear artists. In 1996 she received the first "Golden Teddy Lifetime Achievement Award" for her contribution to the industry, and for elevating awareness of Teddy Bear collecting around the world.
