Deb Canham began making miniature bears in 1987 when she read an article stating that fine details were impossible to achieve on a hand sewn miniature bear. That was the challenge, and she rose to it!! That day was the start of great things to come, as that was the day she sat down to make her first mini, the rest is history!! Deb became the UK's first miniature bear artist, and well known within the industry.
Deb is well known for her artist bears, which are true collectibles in every sense, especially since her bears usually bring top dollar at auctions and in the secondary market.
Since 1993, Deb has designed for the Akira Little Gem Company, and she has been the highest selling guest designer for them. Deb also designs larger bears for Hermann Teddy Original (Hirschaid, Germany), which is also the European distributor for her own company, Deb Canham Artist Designs.
